However, by 2011, annual revenue of this industry has reached 7 billion USD, and it is predicted to reach 30 USD in the next 3 years. The rapid development of mobile app industry requires new human resources, especialy at a potential market like Vietnam.
The need for skillful human resource in mobile app industry is becoming more and more urgent. This is quite easy to understand, as labor market always welcomes human resource for IT field in general, while mobile app development is one of the hottest subfields there.
In July 2008, Apple released the first online mobile application source (called App Store) for iPhone and iPod devices. At that time, there was nearly no market for mobile app. But at this moment, App Store are storing more than 400.000 apps with 10 billion downloads, leading the market for mobile apps.
After the Apple’s success, mobile companies recognized the potential market from mobile app development. They continuously released their own application sources. Those that are quite significant are Ovi Store of Nokia ((55.000 apps, 760 million downloads), Android Market of Google (200.000 apps, 4,5 billion downloads), App World of Blackberry (30.000 apps, 3 downloads per day), and the newest are Huawei Technology for global mobile network suppliers with more than 80.000 music apps, movie apps or e-book apps.
